By personal details we mean the information that can be traced to an individual, for example, a name, a residential address or an e-mail address. Such information is covered by the Personal Data Protection Act. This law protects citizens' privacy and also applies to personal details that are transmitted via the Internet.
This law ensures that personal details can only be processed if explicit permission is given. The reason why the information is stored should also be clear. This means that the ways in which the details you submit - your name, or (e-mail) address - will be utilised, must be clearly stated on the same page. Your personal details are only used for the reasons you supplied them. Personal details may not be stored for longer than they are required.
The only exception to this law is when the information may be used to prosecute those committing a crime or making statements punishable by law on this website.
You can visit this website anonymously. The Cultural Heritage Inspectorate only records your personal details if you explicitly grant them permission to do so. Personal details supplied via this website are used only for the intended purpose. This means that if you supply your name and address when requesting a particular brochure, this information will not be used to send you other brochures or press releases (unless you indicate otherwise).
